Filled with holiday hits like “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Holly Jolly Christmas,” Sam the Snowman floats across the stage and tells the story of Rudolph’s journey. Nov 16 to Dec 29: World of Illumination, the producer of the world’s largest drive-through animated light show, presents two theme parks in the Phoenix-metro area for the 2024 holiday season. Light and sound collide to spark your holiday spirit with over 1 million animated lights that are synchronized to a holiday musical experience along with over 500 themed displays. Arizona’s Largest Christmas Tree in Anthem
Nov 23: Outlets North Phoenix will kick off the holiday season with the 23rd Annual Tree Lighting Concert! Special guest will Good Morning Arizona’s Gibby Parra, Elleigh Marie of American Idol and singer, songwriter Ashley Wineland. This year’s white fir tree measures 70-feet tall and will be topped with a three-foot tall copper star, which is a nod to the state’s official metal. More than 1.5 miles of LED lights, approximately 10,000 bulbs, will illuminate the tree and roughly 5,000 ornaments and bows will finish off the breathtaking spectacle. The festivities start at 5pm.

Nov 27 to Jan 2 (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays): Experience the ultimate action-packed winter wonderland with an extensive snow village located in the valley. Crafted with more than 350 tons of real snow with more than 50 tons of fresh snow added daily, Holiday SnowFest is a snowy adventure to experience classic “snow days” right here in the Arizona desert. Guests enter through a magical tunnel made of more than 100,000 white lights, followed by a 25-foot Snowman made completely out of lights, which also makes for a stunning backdrop for family holiday cards. The event is fun for the whole family and welcomes guests of all ages with many dazzling features including a 20-foot toboggan hill with a canopy of 50,000 light plus a mini hill for children under four feet, snowman building stations, snowball throwing contest and more. Nov 27 to Dec 28: Get ready for a magical evening at this drive-through holiday experience, featuring over one million synchronized lights and festive music, creating a breathtaking atmosphere for all ages. This family-friendly, one-mile event showcases dazzling displays, including glowing reindeer, oversized snowmen, and candy canes, all choreographed to both classic and modern holiday tunes.
6-9 pm on weekdays and 6-10 pm on weekends. Tickets are available online and at the gate starting at $26.95 per vehicle.

Nov 29 to Dec 1, Dec 5 to 8, Dec 12 to 24: Experience a winter wonderland like no other with seasonal food, fun and festivities for the whole family. Catch a ride on the World of Illumination Express, hop on a hayride to visit Rudolph, skate on ice, or journey through Santa’s magic workshop. There will also be a Christmas carousel, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, snow globe mini golf, a beer and wine garden for the elves over 21 years of age, bonfires s’mores, and the world’s largest inflatable Christmas-themed obstacle course.

Nov 30: Kick off the holiday season in Arizona’s Christmas City when over 40 festively illuminated floats light up the evening led by Santa himself starting at 6pm on Cortez Street. The parade ends on the field at Mile High Middle School, where the Bonfire Festival will take place from 7:00-8:30pm. There will be music, visits with Santa, and reindeer games for the kids.
Attendees can also get a closer look at the illuminated floats – all parked on the field for viewing. Entrance to the field is through the gate on Goodwin Street, across from Old Firehouse Plaza. Free to attend. 6-9pm.

During this special evening you can expect the same great ZooLights with some modifications to make it more sensory friendly. The experience will include smaller crowd sizes, quitter music volume, the Lake Lights Show turned off to reduced flashing lights (lights will be static), the lights on the Arizona Trail will be slow moving and the rest of the zoo will have reduced light movement to the extent possible.

Dec 6 to 23: A very special Friend-and-Relation tells Christopher Robin a story of a Christmas Eve very long ago (about last year) when Eeyore, the old gray donkey who lives by himself in the thistle corner of Hundred-Acre Wood, was absolutely miserable. It seems that he lost his tail and Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet got all their friends, and a search was organized. There is a great deal of fun and excitement, plus delightful songs, in the adventure that follows. The show’s theme, which concerns caring, sharing and the importance of cultivating friends, makes this a very special and enchanting musical suitable for any age.

The holiday cheer continues with festive décor added to the cow-spotted tram as visitors take our fun and educational guided Farm Tour where they can get up close and personal with 10,000 cows and learn about how our pure and fresh milk gets from the farm to table! Other tour highlights include a visit to our milking barn that accommodates 1,600 cows (milking 200 at a time) plus a visit to our interactive play zone.

This event is free with paid Museum admission of $17.00 per person. Members and children under the age of 1 are free. Santa will be available from 10am-12pm and 12:30-2pm each day. Snow flurries will occur every 15 minutes throughout the day.
- Sock Skating, Dec 7 to 29: Slip, slide and glide into fun at this annual. Kids and adults alike have a blast skating on slippery tiles reminiscent of ice but without the cold! Sock skating is free with paid Museum admission of $17.00 per person. Members and children under the age of 1 are free.
- Happy Noon Year, Dec 31: Ring in the New Year at the Museum during the Happy Noon Year Celebration! Sip sparkling cider, move and groove on the dance floor, create a colorful noisemaker, and countdown to the festive balloon drop! There are two exclusive events choose from: 9am to noon and 1-4pm. Tickets for this special event will be $27 per person and $10 per person for members. Space is limited.

APS Electric Light Parade

Dec 7: For more than three decades, the APS Electric Light Parade has been an event where families, neighborhood groups and businesses from across the city come together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season.
The “It’s Electric” themed parade starts at 7pm beginning at Central and Montebello Avenues and travel south on Central Avenue, then east on Camelback Road, then south on 7th Street ending at Indian School Road.

Historic Downtown Prescott
Dec 7: Celebrate this season with a festive parade around downtown Prescott, featuring floats, festivities, and Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Over 100 entries for the whole family to enjoy! A few hours later we gather in the Courthouse Square with eager anticipation as we wait for the Christmas lights to come to life! We take pride in our annual celebration and hope you will be a part of it!
Parade begins at 1pm in Downtown Prescott. The Annual Courthouse Lighting Event will be held following parade at 6pm and fireworks will conclude the night. Visit website for event maps and more information.

Dec 7: Kick off your holiday season in Downtown Flagstaff – home of Arizona’s Winter Wonderland!
Beginning at 2pm there will be hot cocoa, smores and crafts to keep you nice and warm while listening to live performances. The spectacular tree lighting takes place at 6:15pm. Admission is free. 2:30 to 7pm. See website for more information.

Dec 7: Stop by this beloved holiday tradition and annual fundraiser for HD SOUTH. Anticipating nearly 150 attendees, the event features a private tour of a model train display, holiday-themed activities, hot cocoa, cookies, and a visit with Santa for photos. More than just an event, Santa Express celebrates community, joy, and the spirit of giving during the festive season. 5:30-8pm. $15 per person, ages 2 and under are free.

Dec 14: The Autism Society of Greater Phoenix invites you to the 11th Annual Sensitive Santa Experience from 9am to 3 pm.
This special event provides a sensory-friendly environment with no long lines, bright lights, or loud noises, making it perfect for individuals with sensory challenges. Families can enjoy games, crafts, snacks, and visit with vendors while they wait for their one-on-one private visit with Santa. All activities will be outdoors, with Santa’s visit taking place indoors.
There is a $5 fee to guarantee a visit with Santa, and walk-ins are welcome but may not be able to meet Santa due to the event’s popularity.
’Tis the Season: Holidays at MIM

Dec 20 & 21: This festive 2-day Christmas celebration has over 150 shopping vendors, delicious food trucks, and fun activities like Santa photos, a dinosaur land, free snow and bubble play, bounce houses, face painting, axe throwing, and more. Dec 20 to 22: Southwest Youth Ballet Theatre, a pre-professional ballet company, returns with their 18th annual production of the timeless holiday classic for four performances.

Dec 11: This new holiday event will feature live music, food trucks, holiday gifts for purchase made by local crafters, and a North Pole Pass.
The North Pole Pass is $10 per person, both adults and children must purchase a pass to be able to participate (children under two are free). The pass will include a digital picture with Santa, a train ride on Daisy Mountain Railroad and a holiday craft!
