Intro to Woodworking

Learn the fundamentals of woodworking and how to safely operate the core woodshop tools in this intro workshop. Get concrete, hands-on experience while building a small wooden shelf. You will use a drill press, band saw, and belt and disk sanders. Learn to make mitered cuts, curved cuts, smooth edges, and drill holes. CREATE offers introductory works to ages 13 –17 with a guardian present or must be 18 and over.  These workshops are basic and focus on use of equipment, safety and protocol, and are required to become a Pass Holder or take intermediate and advanced workshops. Space is limited. Introduction to Woodworking  require guardian to also pay and participate in the class. Cost: $55
