Virtual Workshop – Code your own video game with MakeCode Arcade: Using Conditionals

In this level 200 installment of our MakeCode virtual workshop series, students eight and older use block-based coding to create a video game with MakeCode Arcade.

Using Conditionals:

Students learn how to apply the fundamental coding concept of conditionals (if-then decisions) and use their new skills to create and customize a playable game.

By the end of the workshop, students will have:

  • Learned and used key game design and coding concepts, focusing on applying conditionals
  • Coded a playable game
  • Published their game via a URL so they can continue to play and develop it after the camp

Recommended: Having attended “Code your own video game with MakeCode Arcade: Introduction” or any other Microsoft MakeCode classes.
