This program is geared for ages 18 months up to 5 years and their adult caregiver. DESCRIPTION:Each year\, January marks Transportation Month at the Museum offering programs and events around all facets of transportation\, big and small\, for children and their grown-ups to enjoy.  This year\, the Museum’s month-long celebration is generously supported by Phoenix Raceway.  During the month\, visitors will enjoy: \nPopsicle Stick Planes | Jan 10th – 15th\, 9am to 4pm.: Follow the example of the great aviation pioneers\, the Wright Brothers\, and create your own popsicle stick plane! \nWheel Prints | Jan 10th\, 10:30am to noon: Explore how wheels move while making prints using a variety of toy vehicle wheels \nAwakening Creativity: Music | Jan 11th\, 10:30am & 11:30am: Start your engines because this week we’ll sing some terrific transportation tunes! This program is geared for ages 18 months up to 5 years and their adult caregiver. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nVeggie Traffic Lights | Jan 12th\, 10:30am & noon: Join us in the KIDchen as we make our very own healthy “traffic lights” to take and taste at home. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nAwakening Creativity: Dance | Jan 13th\, 10:30am & 11:30am: Wave your flags and start the race! It’s time for an exciting race car themed dance class this week. This program is geared for ages 18 months up to 5 years and their adult caregiver. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nPaper Plate Sail Boats | Jan 16th – 22nd\, 9am to 4pm: Create your very own sailboat scene as you learn about one of the oldest forms of transportation. \nOrigami Boats |Jan 17th\, 10:30am: Join local origami artist\, Charlie Humme\, as he teaches us how to make our very own origami boats. \nAwakening Creativity: Music | Jan 18th\, 10:30am & 11:30am: Join music class this week as we learn some pirate-themed ship songs. This program is geared for ages 18 months up to 5 years and their adult caregiver. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nAwakening Creativity: Dance | Jan 20th\, 10:30am & 11:30am: Dance a pirate jig in dance class this week. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nThings That Fly Workshop | Jan 21st\, 10am & 11:30am: During this hands-on workshop\, children between the ages of 4-8 years will have a blast discovering the science of aerodynamics using basic household materials.  Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nPersonalized License Plates | Jan 24th – 29th\, 9am – 4pm: Make your own personalized license plate for your stroller\, bike or any toy vehicle. \nAwakening Creativity: Music | Jan 25th\, 10:30am & 11:30am: This week we’ll learn and sing some far-out songs about outer space. This program is geared for ages 18 months up to 5 years and their adult caregiver. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nRocketship Fruit Kebabs | Jan 26th\, 10:30am & noon: Join us in the KIDchen as we make rocketship fruit kebabs that are out of this world. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nAwakening Creativity: Dance | Jan 27th\, 10:30am & 11:30am : Join us this week as we boogie to the moon and back with some fun outer space dance moves. This program is geared for ages 18 months up to 5 years and their adult caregiver. Space is limited and registration is first come\, first served. \nCARnival | Jan 28th\, 9am to 4pm: Our annual CARnival event is back bigger and better than ever. An epic car show for kids where they can touch and explore cars\, trucks\, buses and more. \nAdmission into all of the above programs is free with paid Museum admission of $16 per person. Members and children under the age of 1 are free. \nTickets can be purchased on site or online at ChildrensMuseumOfPhoenix.org.
