DESCRIPTION:Soar Over the Rim of Imagination! \nYou and your family are invited to the 9th Annual Payson Book Festival\, Saturday\, July 13\, 2024\, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission to our family-friendly event is free. \nFind your next beach book club read. You can meet more than 80 Arizona authors. Shop books in your favorite genre or explore a new one. You can browse hundreds of fiction and non-fiction titles. In addition to the plethora of children’s books available\, our Kids Zone is the place for your little one to write their own story or poem and create a book cover. \nPuppet Shows with Miss Susie happen at 10 and 11 a.m. Story Monster is available for a photo op. \nThe goals of the Payson Book Festival are to promote literacy and showcase Arizona authors and artists. The festival’s mission is to enhance the love of reading by providing a friendly environment that encourages personal interaction between Arizona authors and readers of all ages. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local scholarship programs. The Rim Country Chapter of Arizona Professional Writers (APW) welcomes our event partners\, The Payson Roundup Newspaper\, KRIM Radio\, and Post Net. Eighty authors from throughout the state will sign and sell fiction and non-fiction books of many genres. APW is a non-profit organization. Participating literacy groups include Gila County Library District\, Rim Country Literacy\, Southwest Human Development\, and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
