22nd Annual Ancient Technology Day

Join the excitement and put your technology skills to the test at the S’edav Va’aki Museum’s 22nd Annual Ancient Technology Day. Experience live demonstrations showcasing technologies inspired by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People who thrived in the desert. Explore skills like flint knapping, rawhide drum making, etching shell jewelry, basketry, and more. Experts in historic technologies will also demonstrate skills from early European settlers, including lace making and adobe brick making. Engage in interactive experiences, such as trying your hand at throwing a spear with an atlatl or using a replica bow to launch an arrow, while learning fascinating facts about the desert environment.
