In May, Girls in STEM will host “The Science of Force” events, offering participants a chance to explore the real science behind their beloved comics, TV shows, and movies. #GirlsInSTEM will investigate the science behind magnetism, soundwaves and the scientific “magic” displayed in sci-fi over the years. Through interactive activities, engagement with STEM Mentors, and connections with peers who share their interests, attendees will gain new perspectives on their favorite science fiction narratives. This event is tailored for students in grades 4-8, and lunch will be provided.
