MYS, a Founding Resident Company of the Mesa Arts Center offers a unique musical experience for instrumental students through the 12th grade. Students may audition to participate in one of 6 large ensembles specifically aligned to their level of performance in band orchestra and guitar. In addition, MYS offers a recital series, week-long summer music camp, Honors Quartet program, and a Scholarship Solo Competition.

2024 Summer Camp:
Check out our exciting programs happening this summer in Mesa! From Monday, June 24 to Friday, June 28, 2024, young musicians are invited to join us for a week filled with music, fun, and learning. Register early by June 1, to secure your spot in our Band and Orchestra programs.
Held in Mesa, our full-day program offers a diverse range of activities designed to challenge and inspire musicians of all levels. Participants can expect to engage in orchestra and band rehearsals, delve into music theory, and explore elective courses such as Guitar, Expression and Movement in Music, Yoga for Musicians, Fiddling, and Sight-Reading. Plus, enjoy lunchtime concerts featuring performances by professional musicians! Cap off the week with a free performance on Friday evening, June 28th. Full-day enrollment is $280, which includes a camp shirt. For those first year string players Half-Day Green Camp runs from 8 am to 12 pm each day for $180, also including a camp shirt.
