A visit to the Phoenix Zoo opens a wondrous world of curiosity, imagination and discovery. For more than half a century, the Zoo and its animals have amazed guests from across Phoenix and around the globe. Whether you are on the lookout for awe-inspiring Asian elephants, on safari to spot the great Sumatran tiger or seeking towering giraffes roaming the Savanna — a day at the Zoo offers adventures like no other place in the Valley of the Sun.
With cafés, shops, lush gardens and exciting experiences like Stingray Bay*, Giraffe Encounter, Monkey Village, Safari Train and many more, your visit to the Zoo will be memorable for the entire family.
The Phoenix Zoo is one of the nation’s largest non-profit zoos, committed to conservation and providing experiences that inspire people and motivate them to care for the natural world.
Summer 2020 Update:
The Phoenix Zoo will be reopening to it’s members on June 13 and 14; and will reopen to the public on June 15.
The Zoo will be limiting capacity and everyone, including members will need to reserve their tickets online at phoenixzoo.org. You may reserve your spot starting on June 1. Daily hours will be 7am to noon.
Many of the experiences and encounters will open at a later date but for now, there will be plenty of space for guests to roam and enjoy the animals and the Zoo’s natural landscape.
Cruise the Zoo has also been extended! Upcoming dates are: June 4-8, July 2-6 and August 6-10. Tickets for Cruise the Zoo must be pre-purchased online. Please visit PhoenixZoo.org for detailed information on the reopening.
