A visit to the Phoenix Zoo opens a wondrous world of curiosity, imagination and discovery. For more than half a century, the Zoo and its animals have amazed guests from across Phoenix and around the globe. Whether you are on the lookout for awe-inspiring Asian elephants, on safari to spot the great Sumatran tiger or seeking towering giraffes roaming the Savanna — a day at the Zoo offers adventures like no other place in the Valley of the Sun.
With cafés, shops, lush gardens and exciting experiences like Stingray Bay*, Giraffe Encounter, Monkey Village, Safari Train and many more, your visit to the Zoo will be memorable for the entire family.
The Phoenix Zoo is one of the nation’s largest non-profit zoos, committed to conservation and providing experiences that inspire people and motivate them to care for the natural world.
2026 Camp Zoo:
- Spring Camp Zoo: March 9-12 and March 16-29(no camp on Fridays): Join Camp Zoo as we explore the great outdoors! Your camper’s curiosity will guide them through animal encounters, games, learning activities, and crafts all centered on Nature Play! Class sizes are limited. Spring Camp Zoo is for students currently in 1st through 5th grades.
- Summer Camp Zoo: June 1-July 31: This year’s camp is all about finding out what it takes to creatively care for animals. Campers will explore habitats, learn how animals survive and thrive and learn about the way zoos care for animals. All campers will meet animals up-close, play in our splash pads and participate in different activities each day. Class sizes are limited. Summer Camp Zoo is for students entering kindergarten through 8th grades in the fall of 2026. Due to rising temperatures, at least ½ the day will be spent
