Valley-wide effort aims to equip Arizona residents with life-saving water safety skills ahead of summer
In recognition of April Pools Day, a month-long initiative dedicated to promoting water safety before the busy summer season, American Emergency Response Training (AERT) is offering free CPR training classes throughout the entire month of April.
Designed to empower individuals and families with critical, life-saving skills, these hands-on classes cover CPR techniques and emergency response training for infants, children, and adults. With Arizona’s high number of backyard pools and water-related activities, AERT’s initiative comes at a crucial time to help residents feel confident and prepared in emergency situations.
Classes will be held at various locations across the Valley, with flexible scheduling options available, including weekday, weekend, and evening sessions, making it easy for busy families and individuals to participate.
“Water safety starts with preparation,” said Jamie Phillips, owner of AERT. “By offering free CPR training during April, we’re helping ensure more people in our community are equipped to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency, especially with swimming season coming up.”
