Are you and your family headed to the Magic Kingdom this summer? Then bookmark this handy “Don’t Miss” guide for kids of all ages from our friend and travel writer Julia Carr.

For children of all ages:

Don’t miss the “Better Together: A Pixar Celebration” parade and “Together Forever – A Pixar Nightime Spectacular” fireworks. Both of these aim to delight parents and kids of all ages. Listen to music and experience the amazing dance composition in the parade where they even sign “better together” in their choreography at the Disney California Adventure Park (DCA). Watch the sparks of imagination and bursts of color in the fireworks soaring across the sky and projections illuminating the castle and buildings of Main Street over at Disneyland Park. You’ll get to see many of your favorite returning Pixar characters in the parade and fireworks show, alongside new characters from Soul, Luca, Turning Red, and Elemental.

Children:

Pixar Pals Playtime over at Fantasyland Theatre offers an entertaining dance party with many Pixar friends who will traverse the audience to dance with you and your kids. The fun doesn’t end there, with Pixar Shorts playing on a big screen as the after party for this dance celebration.

Take photos with new characters Wade and Ember from Elemental, Luca and Alberto from Luca, and Ian and Barley from Onward, along with other favorites your kids will love.

To get the maximum amount of Pixar fun with younger children, don’t forget to check out the rides Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree over at DCA and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage located in Disneyland Resort.

Preteens:

During Pixar Fest, several festival marketplaces will open up starting May 10th. These quick bites will include themed food from six Pixar films, including Turning Red, Soul, Elemental, Inside Out, Luca, and Ratatouille. Not only will you be able to calm the craving your growing kids will have, your kids will get to feel as if they are eating straight out of the films!

If your child is an aspiring collector, look out for special Pixar Fest collectible medallions! These stations are located throughout both parks, Downtown Disney, and Disneyland Resort hotels, and feature special designs from all Pixar films.

For kids who might not yet be tall enough to ride some of the faster roller coasters, check out Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at Disneyland Resort and Toy Story Mania for a fun interactive ride to keep their imaginations active!

Teens:

Club Pixar features Pixar-themed photo opportunities, specially produced food and drinks, live entertainment, an interactive DJ dance party, and even a fun “drive-in” theater showing a handful of the most memorable Pixar Shorts. With so many things to do, there’s something fun for every teen. Experience the wonders of Pixar via song, dance, and other interactive activities at this exuberant celebration in the Hollywood Backlot.

For teenagers looking for excitement and thrills it’s a must to ride the Incredicoaster and Radiator Springs Racers over at DCA.

Don’t forget to check out dining experience, such as the option of the Lamplight Lounge, where you can immerse yourself in Pixar memorabilia while enjoying a delicious meal, something your older kids will be sure to appreciate.
