ARE YOU GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE AND SEEKING A SAFE PLACE TO BEGIN HEALING?

Stepping Stones of Hope to Host Two Weekend Camps
In Carefree, August 18-20, 2023

Change is difficult for everyone; accepting the death of a loved one, on top of all the normal changes life brings, is probably the most difficult to understand. Learning how to cope with and accept these changes is important for navigating your path of grief. It has been said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Stepping Stones of Hope can help you take that first step.

Journeys  Pathways to Healing is a grief camp designed specifically for adults. Hosted by Arizona-based nonprofit Stepping Stones of Hope, the next Journeys camp is planned for Saturday, August 19th, through Sunday, August 20th, at Spirit in the Desert in Carefree, AZ. The camp helps grieving adults better understand and manage their personal grief after the death of a loved one.

Stepping Stones of Hope will host—REACH Camp for Teens in a separate area on the same campus. REACH is uniquely designed to provide teenagers, ages 13-18, with non-traditional coping skills needed to face the challenges of dealing with the death and loss of a loved one. Camp begins on Friday evening, August 18th, and ends at noon on Sunday, August 20th.

Both camps focus on activities to support self-discovery, enhance communication skills, build trust, and promote sharing in a safe environment.

Stepping Stones of Hope is dedicated to providing comprehensive support-based programs, continuing care, and education to grieving children, teens, families, adults and communities. These are just two of many camps hosted by Stepping Stones of Hope. Please visit our website at www.steppingstonesofhope.org for a complete listing of camps and programs.
